For sell-side advisers
Know what buyers will find before they find it.
For investment and merchant banks, corporate finance boutiques, placement agents and fractional CFOs taking a client to market. Hebrides reads the client’s data room the way a buyer’s diligence team will, prices the business on the methods they will use, and shows who is likely to buy.
The problem
Buyers run their own analysis
Institutional investors now put every data room through their own tools. A contradiction between the deck and the management accounts, found on their side late in the process, costs price and time.
Price expectations shape the process
A client’s view of value is often anchored on one headline multiple. Without an independent range and the evidence behind it, the first serious bid becomes the argument.
The same preparation, mandate after mandate
Teasers, memoranda, buyer lists and Q&A prep repeat for every client. On a lean team, most of the hours go on assembling them, leaving less time for the client and the buyers.

The workflow
How sell-side advisers use Hebrides.
- 01
Read the data room as a buyer would
A cited tear sheet on the client’s own documents, with risks by severity and every contradiction between documents laid side by side. Fix them, or prepare the answer, before the data room opens.
Research insights - 02
Set a price range you can defend
A valuation triangulated across comparables, DCF, precedent transactions and the other methods that suit the company, with the likely range and its confidence. A floor for the client to hold, and evidence for the ceiling.
Valuation Suite - 03
Build the buyer and investor list
Buyer Appetite shows who has bought similar companies and at what EV/Revenue. Syndicate Relay shows which investors lead in the category, which follow on and which hand over.
Comparables - 04
Rehearse the Q&A
Ask the questions a buyer’s analyst will ask, across the client’s documents and the public web, with every answer sourced.
Hebrides Chat - 05
Draft the materials, then see who reads them
First drafts of teasers and memoranda in your house template, exported to Word for your edits. Or send an interactive teaser for buyers, with a tracked link for each recipient showing visits, completion and session replay.
Stories
“The Hebrides analysis gave us a defensible floor that institutional investors respected, and a ceiling that justified holding out for better terms.”
FAQ
Sell-side advisers: common questions.
Can we run Hebrides on a client’s documents before going to market?
Yes. Load the client’s data room and Hebrides produces a cited tear sheet, sets out the contradictions between documents and lists the open questions a buyer is likely to raise. Your team decides what to fix and what to explain.
Does it work for a fractional CFO preparing one company for a raise?
Yes. The tools are the same for a single company: test the data room, set a price range on the methods investors will use, rehearse the Q&A and draft the materials.
Can the materials carry our firm’s branding?
Yes. Upload an existing teaser or memorandum as a template and the Report Agent mirrors its layout, brand and section conventions, then exports to Word. Stories can take your template, or the colours and media in the client’s own decks.
How is client information protected?
Deal information is never used to train models. Hebrides is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with role-based access, audit logs and two-factor authentication.
