What Hebrides does today, and what it does not

This page covers Hebrides for investors: VC, PE and family office teams. It lists what Hebrides does now, what it does not do, and where its output needs a person. It changes when the product does.

What Hebrides does

• Screening. Extracts the key metrics from the deck and first materials for each opportunity, and ranks a batch against your mandate.
• Due diligence. Reads the data room, cross-checks claims across documents, and flags contradictions, showing both sources.
• Citations. Every answer cites the document and page it drew on. Generated insights carry a confidence rating.
• Portfolio monitoring. Compares board packs and portfolio updates over time, and flags the metrics that moved.
• Valuation. DCF, public comparables (powered by Dealroom) and the VC method, with every input shown.
• Your data. Your deal information is not used to train models. ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certified.

What Hebrides does not do

• Provide a data room for a company raising capital.
• Track investors, or act as an investor CRM.
• Run any workflow for companies raising capital. Hebrides is for the investor side of the deal.
• Link facts across separate deals. Each answer cites the document and page within the deal you are working on.

Where the output needs your team

• Judgement on what matters in a deal, and what to do about it.
• The final IC recommendation. Hebrides gives you a structured first read, cited to source.
• Anything that is not in the documents provided. Hebrides does not know what it has not been given, apart from Dealroom data for comparables.
• Insights with a lower confidence rating. Follow the citation back to the page before relying on them.

Future work

A product for companies raising capital is planned, with a consent-driven link that would let a company share its data with an investor on Hebrides, keeping the source of each figure. Neither is available today. This page will change when either ships. Founders and advisers can join the early-access waitlist.
