Research insights
The structured first read of the data room.
Hebrides reads every document in the deal, cross-checks claims against each other, surfaces risks and contradictions, and scores the deal against your thesis. On one page, with every claim cited.
Try it · A research insights tear sheet for the sample Acme Corp data room. Open the Contradictions tab, click the score, or click a citation to see its source.
Cross-document checking the eye doesn’t do.
Reading forty documents in sequence is how things get missed. Hebrides reads them in parallel: the contradiction between the deck and the management accounts, the customer logo on slide 4 that isn’t in the customer list, the use of proceeds that changes between the CIM and the Q&A prep.
The result is a tear sheet your team can trust as a starting point: the figures, the risks, the gaps and the fit with your thesis, each one traceable to the page it came from.
How it works
How Research insights works
01
Every claim cited to its source
Figures, risks and team details carry numbered citations back to the document and page they came from. Each panel ends with its sources, so a reviewer can check any line in seconds.
02
Contradictions surfaced, not buried
Where the same number, plan or statement appears with different values in different documents, it surfaces for review with both source statements side by side.
03
A triage score you can read
A recommendation score from 0 to 100 with its full working: high- and medium-severity risks, contradictions and thesis fit, each with its weight. It is a heuristic to triage, not a substitute for IC review, and it says so.
04
Scored against your lens
Matches, concerns and open questions against your firm’s thesis, using the version of the lens you choose. Re-run with the latest lens whenever your thesis moves.

FAQ
Research insights: questions investors ask.
What documents does research insights read?
Everything in the deal’s datarooms: decks, CIMs, financial models and statements, board minutes, cap tables, call transcripts and Q&A documents. Hebrides can also draw on publicly available information for market and comparables context.
How long does a tear sheet take?
Usually a few minutes, depending on the size of the data room. Sections appear as they complete, and you can track progress in real time.
How is the recommendation score calculated?
It starts from a base and deducts for high- and medium-severity risks and for contradictions, then adjusts for thesis fit. The full breakdown is one click away. It is designed for triage; the investment decision stays with your IC.
Can I check where a figure came from?
Yes. Every figure and claim carries a numbered citation to its source document and page, and each section lists its sources at the foot.
