Firm lens
Your thesis, loaded in from the start.
Sectors you back, the numbers you anchor on, the patterns your partners pass on. Tell Hebrides once, and every insight, answer and memo is framed through your lens.
Try it · The firm profile with three example firms. Switch between them, pick a deal, or edit the thesis yourself.
Generic analysis is the wrong analysis.
A deal that is perfect for one fund is a hard pass for another. A 58% gross margin is fine for a services roll-up and a warning sign for a software thesis. Analysis that ignores who is investing misses the point.
The firm lens is where Hebrides learns how you invest: what you back, at what stage, on what terms, and what you never touch. It then runs through every analysis the platform produces.
How it works
How Firm lens works
01
Investment thesis
What you invest in, at what stage, on what terms. Sectors, cheque size, the numbers you anchor on and your hard passes, in your own words. Attach a thesis document if you already have one.
02
Firm context and notes
Pattern-matching from past deals, quirks of your process, anything Hebrides would otherwise have to guess. Tell it where your edge is, and what you habitually pass on.
03
Buy-side or sell-side
Buy-side firms get documents shaped as investor evaluations: IC memos, recommendations, a diligence voice. Sell-side teams get information memoranda that present an asset to buyers.
04
Where the lens shows up
A thesis-fit section on every research insight. Chat answers framed through your lens. Valuation analysis that references your thesis. IC memos structured around your patterns.

FAQ
Firm lens: questions investors ask.
What should go in the firm lens?
Your sectors, stage, geography and cheque size; the metrics you anchor on, such as ARR floors or gross margin bands; your hard passes; and any patterns from past deals your partners rely on.
Is our thesis used to train models?
No. The firm profile is never used to train models. It is loaded as context for your firm’s analysis only.
Can we change the lens later?
Yes. Admins can amend the thesis and notes at any time. Existing tear sheets show which version of the lens they were scored against, and you can re-run them with the latest one.
